01 Our aim
This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, so that everyone can browse the menu, check allergens and place an order request.
02 What this site does
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone. A “Skip to content” link is the first thing you reach, and focus is always visible.
- The basket and the site index open as dialogs: focus moves into them, Escape closes them, and focus returns where you were.
- Text and controls meet AA colour contrast. Pink is only ever used behind black text, never as text colour on white.
- Photographs have text alternatives describing what they show. Decorative shapes are hidden from screen readers.
- Allergens are written out in full on every flavour, and the menu has an allergen table with row and column headers. Symbols are never the only way information is given.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, the site turns off its animations.
- Pages use headings, landmarks and lists in a logical order, and the language is set to English (UK).
- Text can be resized to 200% and the layout works from narrow phones to wide screens without scrolling sideways.
- Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in words next to the field.
03 Known limits
The cursor-following photo preview on the menu only appears with a mouse; it shows the same photo that is on each flavour’s page, so nothing is lost without it.
