Placeholder: the client's policy goes here
Dough-lightful Bites needs to supply its own privacy policy before this site goes live. The old site only had the website builder's sample text. The outline below lists what this site's forms collect, so the policy can cover it accurately.
What this site collects
- Order requests (checkout): name, email, optional phone number, optional preferred date, optional notes, and the cookies in the basket.
- Contact messages: name, email and the message.
- Your basket is kept in your own browser (local storage) so it survives a page reload. It is not sent anywhere until you send an order request.
What the policy needs to say
- Who is responsible for the data: [business name and contact]
- Why it is used (answering messages, arranging orders) and the lawful basis
- How long it is kept: [retention period]
- Who else sees it, if anyone (for example an email provider): [processors]
- People's rights to see, correct or delete their data, and how to ask: [contact for requests]
- Cookies (the web kind): this design uses none, only local storage for the basket
